Solar-Powered Hand-Crank Radio

This device combines a radio and an LED light in a compact case, designed to remain useful when the living room outlet is no longer an option. A turn of the dynamo crank, a little sunlight on the built-in panel, or a USB-C cable: you choose your power source on the fly, without having to buy batteries or rely on AC power. The telescoping antenna, speaker, and station and volume dials let you tune in to AM/FM stations and the WB weather band, so you can stay informed during a thunderstorm, storm, or power outage.

When it comes to lighting, the LED lamp comes in handy in the kitchen, living room, or during a candlelit evening, and the SOS button provides an extra safety feature during nighttime walks. The built-in battery can also charge a dead smartphone. With its wrist strap, it fits easily into the glove compartment, trunk, emergency kit, or backpack, and can withstand the rain and humidity of a camping trip. Available in 7 colors, it also makes a useful gift for a parent, grandparent, or outdoor enthusiast.
